Nice Day for a Just-Right Wedding
With a verdant landscape interrupted mostly by the swells of the Pacific Ocean, Riviera Nayarit has
become the go-to place for fairy tale weddings. Big or small, most properties in the area are
welcoming enamorados with packages and options they can fine-tune to fit their expectations.
Villa Bella can coordinate a gorgeous ceremony for up to 50 people.
In fact, through Nov. 15 the hotel is offering those who book the entire
property for at least four nights complimentary wedding coordination,
a bridal mani/pedi-massage combo, flowers, and concierge services. The rate for booking the entire property is $1,300 per night, plus
taxes.
Punta de Mita
A destination wedding in opulent style seems to be the raison d’etre
of Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. Whether held at a grand ballroom or
by the sea, ceremonies here take a spin in Four Seasons’ trademark
splendor, with tiny details tweaked into submission by an expert staff.
Four Seasons’ wedding packages are varied. A good alternative
for some over-the-topness is the Nakahue option, priced at $15,552.
When choosing this package, the bride-and-groom-to-be start off on
the right foot with the help of their own personal wedding coordinator
and roundtrip private airport transportation. When they arrive at the resort, they have a welcome Champagne Rose Vanilla amenity and flowers waiting in the room. They receive an 80-minute Punta Mita Massage at Apuane Spa’s couples-only Apuane Suite, which comes with
its own whirlpool, sauna and terrace. Their wedding regalia is pressed
and the bride has a practice run for her hair and makeup.
On the big day, tiki torches, a full floral arch and rose-petal path are
arranged for the ceremony, along with two topiaries. The couple has
their choice of either a cello or a harp for two sets as the ceremony—
whether traditional or non-denominational—takes place. The bride can
go off to get her choice of specialty scrub, manicure and pedicure (as
well as getting her hair and makeup done), while the groom can enjoy
a round of golf at the 7,014-yard Jack Nicklaus Signature Course or
Beachside romance at a 50-minute massage. (Yes, this is all still part of the Nakahue pack-
